In which region, Gingee River is located

The Gingee River flows through the Puducherry Region of the Union Territory of Puducherry. It originates from the Gingee Hills in Tamil Nadu and flows eastward into the Puducherry area before joining the Sankaraparani River and eventually draining into the Bay of Bengal.
