a. Madhav - Shivpuri
The park is situated near Shivpuri town and is a part of the upper Vindhyan hills. The Park was the hunting ground of Mughal emperors and Maharaja of Gwalior. It got the status of a National Park in 1958.

b. Kanha - Mandla
Kanha National Park was created on 1st June 1955 and in 1973 was made the Kanha Tiger Reserve. Today it stretches over an area of 940 square km in the two districts Mandla and Balaghat.

c. Satpura - Hoshangabad Satpura in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Satpura National Park is a pristine wildlife habitat that is spread over an area of 524 sq. km. It was first introduced by the popular bird watcher Dr. Salim Ali in the year 1981.

d. Van Vihar - Bhopal
Van Vihar National Park was formed from a depleted forest area. In order to bring back and protect the rich flora & fauna, this unproductive land was declared a National Park in 1981 under the wildlife protection act.
