There are three numbers A, B, C such that twice A is equal to thrice B and four times B is equal to five times C. Then the ratio between A and C is = ?
A. 3 : 4
B. 8 : 15
C. 15 : 8
D. 4 : 3
Answer: Option C
Solution(By Examveda Team)
Given 2A = 3B and 4B = 5Ci.e.
A : B = 3 : 2
B : C = 5 : 4
A : B = 3 : 2 (multiply with 5) and
B : C = 5 : 4 (multiply with 2)
i.e. A : B = 15 : 10 and
B : C = 10 : 8
∴ A : B : C = 15 : 12 : 8
∴ A : C = 15 : 8
