According to Article-124(2), judges of Supreme Court are appointed by President after consultation with such number of judges of Supreme Court and of High Courts as President may deem necessary and shall hold office till the age of 65 years. In appointment of a Judge other than Chief Justice, the Chief Justice of India shall always be consulted.
