Correct Fact: Puducherry’s state animal is the Indian Palm Squirrel (also called the three-striped palm squirrel, Funambulus palmarum).

Why not the others? “Chital/Deer” are spotted-deer species used by some other states/UTs, and Tiger is India’s national animal—not Puducherry’s state animal.
