Check the RRB Paramedical Selection Process 2026, including CBT, document verification, and medical examination.
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will select candidates for Paramedical posts under CEN 05/2026 through a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME). Candidates must qualify at each stage to be considered for final empanelment.
The Single Stage CBT is an objective-type examination consisting of 100 questions for 100 marks. The subject-wise distribution is given below.
| Subject | Number of Questions | Total Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Professional Ability | 70 | 70 |
| General Awareness | 10 | 10 |
| General Arithmetic, Intelligence and Reasoning | 10 | 10 |
| General Science | 10 | 10 |
| Total | 100 | 100 |
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CBT merit must attend Document Verification with their original certificates and the required supporting documents. These may include proof of date of birth, educational and professional qualifications, registration certificates, category certificates, and other documents applicable to the candidate.
Shortlisted candidates must undergo a medical examination conducted according to the prescribed medical standards for their respective posts. Candidates must satisfy the applicable medical fitness requirements to proceed further in the recruitment process.
Final empanelment will depend on CBT merit, successful document verification, medical fitness, vacancy availability, and compliance with the conditions specified in the official notification. Qualifying in the CBT alone does not guarantee appointment.
Note: Candidates should refer to the official RRB CEN 05/2026 notification for the complete selection rules, qualifying marks, and applicable conditions.
