Let the numbers be 4x and 7xThen,
$$\eqalign{ & \Leftrightarrow \frac{{4x + 4}}{{7x + 4}} = \frac{3}{5} \cr & \Leftrightarrow 5\left( {4x + 4} \right) = 3\left( {7x + 4} \right) \cr & \Leftrightarrow x = 8 \cr} $$
∴ Larger number :
= 7x
= 7 × 8
= 56
